📖 Matt and His Sick Hat
📖 Matt and His Sick Hat
Matt had a very special hat.
It wasn’t just any hat — it was red and soft, with a fluffy white brim and a pompom that bounced when he walked.
But Matt didn’t wear it every day.
He only wore it when he wasn’t feeling well.
“Where’s my sick hat?” he would ask, sniffling.
And as soon as the hat was snug on his head, something magical happened.
The hat didn’t make his cough go away.
It didn’t stop his sneezes.
But it made him feel cozy, safe, and cared for.
When Matt wore his sick hat:
- His soup tasted warmer.
- His blanket felt softer.
- His dreams seemed brighter.
Sometimes, his sister would peek into his room and see him smiling under the brim.
“Are you feeling better?” she’d whisper.
“Not yet,” Matt would say, “but my sick hat is helping.”
And little by little, with rest, love, and the comfort of his hat, Matt always got better.
🌟 Closing Thought
Everyone has something that makes them feel safe when they’re not at their best — a blanket, a toy, a hug, or even a hat. Matt’s sick hat reminds us that sometimes healing begins with comfort.
