Psalm 91:15 Emma’s story
Psalm 91:15 says, "He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him."
Here's a small everyday story to illustrate this verse:
Imagine a young girl named Emma who loves to hike in the woods behind her house. One day, while exploring a new trail, she gets caught in a sudden thunderstorm. Scared and alone, Emma calls out to her mom for help. Her mom, who had been searching for her, hears Emma's voice and rushes to her side. She finds Emma shivering under a tree and wraps her in a warm blanket. Together, they make their way back home, safe and sound.
In this story, Emma calls out to her mom in her time of trouble, and her mom answers, delivers her from the storm, and brings her to safety. Similarly, Psalm 91:15 reminds us that when we call upon God in our times of trouble, He will answer, be with us, deliver us, and honor us. Just like Emma's mom, God is always ready to respond to our cries for help and bring us through difficult situations.

A scripture that might help Emma grow when troubles or fears arise is Philippians 4:6-7, which says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Here's a story:
As Emma reflects on her experience in the thunderstorm, she realizes that she can't always avoid scary situations. But she learns that she can choose how she responds. Emma starts practicing prayer and petition, sharing her fears and worries with God. She thanks Him for His presence and care, even when she doesn't feel safe.
One day, Emma faces another challenge – a big test at school. She feels anxious, but instead of letting fear take over, she remembers Philippians 4:6-7. She takes a few deep breaths, prays, and asks God for peace. As she focuses on God's presence and care, she feels a sense of calm wash over her.
Emma learns that God's peace is like a guardian, protecting her heart and mind from anxiety and fear. She discovers that even in uncertain times, she can trust God to provide peace that goes beyond human understanding.
This scripture helps Emma develop a habit of turning to God in prayer, trusting Him with her worries, and experiencing His peace in the midst of challenges.
